This would be better with their pictures from the actual game.

Include candy requirement to evolve, please!

Wish they didn't all sat TBD for location >_>

Pokemon Go DB said...

Lorshem. Kindly see http://www.pokemongodb.net/2016/06/candy.html. Chart has been updated with Candy Requirements.

Anonymous. Being that this is played globally it is difficult to give a precise location for each Pokemon. Some Pokemon cannot be caught until your Trainer level is high enough to even seen them. If anyone has suggestions for a way to include Pokemon locations please let me know. Thanks!

Suggestion for locations: Make the database receive google map, whatever apple uses for map, and IITC inputs. Have users send in a map link with the spawn coordinates.

Or, as an easier crowdsourcing option, have people send in screencaps with GPS info embedded. Extract that information from the screencap, and post the map links here.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. Embedding Google Maps into this site would be awesome. I'll do some research and see how to get this implemented.

I've personally noticed that pokemon seem to appear in similar if not the same places I've encountered them before (not by species but in general) to the point that I've gone back to some of those previous catch areas to find more pokemon. As for magikarp i do troll the waterfronts daily but I've found them quite far inland as well at fountains or even just in the street on a rainy day (weather effect on spawn is yet to be determined). Read somewhere that pokestops and gyms are Ingress portal points but I haven't played that game to confirm. If that's true they also have a map for that already.

Hej, imo Order of the Evolves From and Evolves Into Columns should be changed.
Because it seems more logical to me the other way around.

I think people generally want know to what it evolves into more than what it evolves from. Therefore you could even remove the Evolves From Column. It seems a little bit redundant.

Just my 2 cents and I appreciate what you've created for us so far!

Keep on going!

In app, when viewing the Pokemon I've caught, evolved, saving (not the Pokedex screen), some have a blue cloud behind them, while others don't. Does this mean anything?

Anonymous said...

Think it means they are the ones you caught recently.

Any way to make this table printable?

Please include exp gain from evolution

Our problem is that we have a lot of customers and employees that play the game all the poke stops are a good bit away and when the game first came out we caught good Pokemon and Seen a good bit but now no one really wants to play due to never really seeing anything I personally have wasted several of my insense and not caught anything or maybe one Pokemon at work and my house.... And I can be around several people and they see or catch stuff and I not see anything it's starting to make me not want to play....

Anonymous said...

Billie-Cat it means that you tried to catch it but didn'the and that you haven't caught it before

Could you include what type of attacks will evolve out of certain attacks? (moves)

So, i live in a rural area and i gotta say you guys would have a much bigger following if you spawned more of a variety of pokemon in such areas. All im getting is pidgeys, ratatta's, and weedles, maybe the occasional catterpie.
I know you guys are aiming for a more challenging gaming experience. But maybe thinking of those of us who dont have cars to drive to urban areas would help greatly.

Unknown said...

Please include Max CP column + a sort function on the headline.
Thx.

I live out in the rural area and cell service is crap....Is there anyway to spawn more stuff besides Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle and Caterpie....once on a blue moon other stuff will pop up but not enough variety. Oh and some GPS coordinates are off a lol bit.

I can't find #5 overall.. which one is rank #5 overall?

Anonymous said...

I have a few questions on how you ranked best charge moves.

First the moment you do a charge move is a moment you can not do your fast move. So wouldn't the true damage improvement be what you want to look at? Like if a fast move does 10 damage but charge move does 15 you really gain only 5. Looking at it like this would favor the larger more power moves and not the faster less power charge moves.

Secondly how do you factor in cooldown in dps. Using Tangela as an example, it has two 100 energy moves Power Whip with 70 power and solar beam at 120 power. Ypu rank Power Whip higher because its cooldown is only 2.8 seconds and solar beams is 4.9 so theoretically it can be done nearly twice as often. However Tangela's fast move of Vine Whip only provides 7 power every 0.65 seconds so it would take 14.28 Vine Whips to charge up to 100 energy to do the charge move that many Vine Whips would take 9.28 seconds to do. So even though Power Whip cools down in 2.8 seconds and Solar beam in 4.9 you will only be able to do one of them every 9.28 seconds so clearly Solar Beam would be better. I mean if I am not understanding a mechanic of the game and seeing this wrong please explain.

Thank You

that confused me a whole lot as well. I finally figured it out however.
After looking it up, i found two sources (one this website) that vaguely say you get 1/5th of a bar worth of energy per second. So if Power Whip costs 100 energy, you also get 20 energy per second in addition to energy from the fast attack.

I have yet to confirm the amount of 1/5th the bar per second, and couldn't really tell during youtube gameplay videos, but I will be going to a gym today and will confirm if this is right or not.

But you are still absolutely right. Dragonite's Dragon Claw move isn't actually his best because the 1.6 second cooldown is realistically a little bit over 2 seconds, making it actually his worst move.

I think this websites idea is that if you spam the fast move until the bar is completely full, then use your charge attacks, the ones it have listed are the best. However there doesn't appear to be any benefit to attacking this way, and for maximum dps would make more sense to use the charge move right when one bar gets filled.

But anyways, hope that clears that up for u, as it confused the hell out of me. Like i said, I will confirm the 20% of a bar per second asap
