Where can i find Squirtle ?

I saw one "nearby" in Laingsburg, MI which is about 30 minutes northeast of Lansing. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to find or catch it.

So it sounds like they're around the Great Lakes states. Laingsburg is in the middle of the state though, but there may have been a smaller body of water nearby.

Found one in central Indiana, near no water or anything.

Definitely around water -- three in South Florida by the intracoastal within maybe three days of cumulative play.
